Drs. Derek and Liz Totty are both alums of Logan College of Chiropractic.  There, Dr. Derek specialized in the use of Spinal Decompression therapy and Dr. Liz in Sports Medicine and Acupuncture.  They launched Totty Chiropractic of Mt. Juliet in May of 2008 and then Totty Chiropractic and Acupuncture in April of 2011.  Currently they live in Mt. Juliet with their two beautiful children, Milena and Weston.  It is important to them to be active in their community, sponsoring a slew of school events and participating in the Chamber of Commerce in both Mt. Juliet and Donelson-Hermitage.

Dr. Derek is a second generation chiropractor.  His father, Dr. Richard Totty, practiced in the Hermitage, TN area for 28 years.  Growing up in a chiropractic family, there was never a doubt that he would become a chiropractor himself.  He thoroughly enjoys being able to help people in a holistic and natural manner.  Dr. Derek has also been a  ringside physician for some of Nashville’s mixed martial art events.

Dr. Liz is a native New Yorker who is glad to be away from the snow! While attending college in North Carolina she was introduced to two chiropractors who performed acupuncture and found her calling. “I was so inspired by the tremendous results that were achieved without the use of drugs or surgery that I knew that was what I wanted to do with my life.”  She is a fellow with the Acupuncture Society of America and has a Master’s in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.  In the community, she is a graduate of Leadership Donelson-Hermitage and has co-chaired the Youth Excelling in Learning Leadership program for local eleventh graders.
