The word “Chiropractic” is derived from the Greek words “cheir” (hand) and “praktos” (done) combined to mean “done by hand.” It was chosen by the developer of chiropractic care, Daniel David Palmer.
In 1895, D.D. Palmer performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard, who later reported that his hearing had improved due to the change.
D.D. Palmer opened the first chiropractic school two years later, and in the century since, chiropractic professionals have used spinal adjustments to help people prevent and cope with back pain, carpal tunnel, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a variety of other physical ailments. Millions of people benefit from the work of Dr. Palmer today.

The entire staff at Stronghold Health was amazing to work with on my first visit ! From helping to schedule my first appointment to check-in, the front desk staff were so helpful and knowledgable – they made the process super smooth and easy. I met with Dr. David for my new patient exam and he was just as excellent, he conducted a thorough analysis of my history and symptoms and took x-rays to get a baseline. What I initially loved about Stronghold, and am looking forward to as I continue my care, is that they clearly care about helping me correct my spinal issues to achieve long-term wellness. I’d highly recommend this office!

I’ve been a patient of Stronghold Health since they opened. I used to have S shaped scoliosis and now I don’t. They are kind and compassionate to their patient, and really take the time to help each individual specifically. They are the best.

So so good!! When I came in for the first time I was experiencing extreme neck and shoulder pain with very limited range of motion. Dr. John and Dr. Dave were thorough and took the time to explain my x-rays and treatment plan in great detail so I knew what to expect. I’m really happy I found Stronghold!

The front desk is really nice and accommodating. Dr. Dave and Dr. John are knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and willing to work with you to find a plan that best suits your needs. The price is reasonable, especially by Nashville standards. Office has a cool vibe and is easy to get to.

Dr. Dave, Dr. John, and the entire Stronghold Health team are absolute gems! They are flexible, kind, informative, and go above & beyond to make sure you are being perfectly provided for.
