Dr. Jim Sweeney

Dr. Jim is so personable and he really listened when I was explaining the problems I was having. From what I know about Dr. Jim, he is genuinely concerned about the well-being of his patients. The staff is always friendly, courteous and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Sweeney if you are looking for a chiropractor.

Let me start by saying: Dr. Jim is one of the most passionate and caring doctors I have ever met. He is always one step ahead and learning new ways to help his patients. Every one of his staff members are just as incredible as he is! I was so skeptical about going to a Chiropractor, and told by many people that it wouldn’t help, not to waste my money. When I went to Dr. Jim I had no curvature in my neck, I was in severe pain, and within 3 months of treatment my spine was corrected and my pain had subsided. This was with no pain medication and just simply following his instructions. I never felt like just another patient there – they make you feel so comfortable and you can tell they truly care. Which is hard to find with any doctor. I was so iffy during the first of my treatment. I felt like I would never see the results I wanted and I would just be in pain forever. I hit Dr. Jim with a million questions, but he always took the time to answer them and make me feel better. They were always reassuring and trying to ease my mind. When my 3-month checkup came around and I was finally able to see my x-ray results I was in shock… He actually restored my curve! It made all of the appointments and training I had to do at home so worth it. I couldn’t have been in better hands with Dr. Jim and his staff. They truly go above and beyond. I will always go to them for my adjustments and recommend them to everyone! You absolutely can NOT go wrong with putting your trust into him and his team. Thank you so much Dr. Jim & Staff for everything!

Highly recommend! I’ve been coming here for over a year for lower back issues and have always had excellent service. I also had a car wreck a few months ago, and they immediately adjusted my treatment to help me heal more quickly from the whiplash. The entire staff is wonderful and makes you feel like family. I highly recommend this practice.

I can’t say enough about Sweeney Chiropractic. Love them! I had not done the chiropractor thing before but Dr. Jon and the staff immediately put me at ease. They are friendly, professional and know their stuff! They get to the root cause of your pain and treat it so you don’t have to go continually but only as long as is needed to get you healthy. I now have a better range of motion and feel better than I have in a long time!

I have had the pleasure of being adjusted by both Dr. Jim and Dr. Jon. I must say as an athlete, they know how to target every major pressure point. I play drums, lift weights, and detail cars, I use my hands a lot. They’ve taken tension out of my wrists and forearms. It’s been crucial to sustain my level of activity. Their experience in sports therapy and knowledge of muscles has made me more aware of my own anatomy. I highly recommend them!

Don’t be fooled by his shorts, or his relaxed approach and accessibility, the man has transformed my life. I thought, at 52, you basically give up, grow old, become slower, and become decrepit and die. I was given my life back with a second chance, a second run. I have returned to my sports, back to doing things I love around carpentry, my teenage injuries healed with acupuncture right there along with my carpentry. I am truly thankful. No pressure, no gimmicks, no tricks, just plain old healing and therapy. I am truly thankful. I have taken all who are willing to him just to experience what I have experienced. I have tried a few others, and I am happiest and believe I have found the right person for my needs. Thanks Dr. Sweeney.

Dr John has been my life saver!! First he is so nice and has such a great personality. He makes you feel comfortable coming in to see him. Sharing stories about his life and asking about yours. Truly just a great and friendly person. I am currently about 7months pregnant and have has the worst time with back and hip pain. On top of being pregnant I work an office job where I sit at desk all day staring at a computer all day and the back pain is killer. The pin had kept me from sleeping the past few months and I was at the point I didn’t know what else to do. After just 1 visit was Dr John I was sleeping through the night with very minimal pain(keep in mind I had never been to a chiropractor so this was my first ever adjustment in my entire life). I had even been headaches that I had no idea was coming from my neck. I was waking up with one every morning. I haven’t had one since. Going to Sweeney Chiropractic has been the best decision I have made. The front office staff is so great. They are such sweet ladies!! Always smile and willing to answer any questions. Always friendly never rude. Dr. Jim is super nice and patient driven. He will give you the honest answer of what you need to hear without you feeling like he’s trying to pressure you into something. He’s very friendly and outgoing. Makes the environment great. Though he has never adjusted me can’t go wrong with his personality!! I highly recommend going here to anyone but especially any pregnant woman having back or hip or leg issues I promise you won’t regret it!! I work for a Orthopedic office and never thought I’d get the relief I do from a chiropractor but I wouldn’t trade my decision of goin there for anything. A quick visit on my lunch break and I’m done. Nashville’s BEST! Possibly the world’s best, but let’s focus on the “why” behind my v bold statement. I first saw Dr. Jim back in the spring of 2017 after moving back to the area and having no actual idea of who or where to entrust my chiropractic care. I was experiencing “whiplash” from a car accident prior to my move. My previous chiropractor had been treating me with adjustments as well as electrical nerve stimulation (TENS). All I wanted was someone to trust with not hurting me, as I am small, and for them to offer the same TENS treatment. I read some background and reviews on the Sweeney practice, which at the time just so happened to be a block away from my home, and decided to give them a try. I was met with a charismatic doctor, a friendly staff (including Dr. Jim’s mom who visits on occasion and is, by definition, THE most quintessential mom on the planet), and repeated relief from every appointment. For starters, Dr. Jim offers the TENS machine as part of the therapy – which typically comes after your adjustment. He also offers dry needling, which is a great option for pain relief or to improve range of motion. Most recently, I had been experiencing rather intense neck pain and normal adjustments weren’t offering relief, so Dr. Jim recommended I try cervical traction to try and decompress my neck/spine. After a few visits on traction, the pain was slowly dissipating. Typically, I react quickly to adjustments/treatments, but due to this neck issue taking a bit longer to treat, Dr. Jim decided it was time to switch to missiles. He recently added “cupping” to his already extensive arsenal of care techniques. The marks you see in the attached photo were from a couple hours after my first cupping session. It looks wicked, but trust me when I say, I’ve never felt more loose and relaxed. The suction of the cups pulls blood to the surface (which results in the circular marks) and allows for increased blood flow/pain relief/etc. – and the best part is that it doesn’t hurt one bit! Not during nor after – those marks never were sore or painful to touch – so don’t let the photo fool you. I’ve referred many friends and family to this practice, and I will continue to do anytime someone mentions needing a chiro. Best Chiropractors anywhere. Always professional, friendly, fun and accommodating. Dr Jim, Dr John and ladies have helped me through a very difficult herniated c5 c6 and partial c7 discs in my neck. I was in an accident and I totally thought I was good until of course a few days later ….pain and anguish. I searched and read reviews and when I say Dr. Jim is my new self care I didn’t know I needed. The entire team is awesome and I truly can tell a difference in my back! He truly has your back *pun intended 😂

I came to Dr. Jim Sweeney’s chiropractic clinic from a colleagues referral over a year ago. I have several physical injuries that rendered me in daily pain. One of which was my shoulder and the other my hip. I’m truly grateful for Dr. Jim Sweeney’s skill in body adjustments beyond just the spine, knowledge of body mechanics to help me realign and stretch even when I’m not at the clinic …. I’m thrilled with the dry needling technique as well. That one was new to me but worked wonders on my shoulder. All of his applied knowledge has allowed me to be pain free and it’s given me my physical freedom back! I absolutely love the energy in his office as he and his brother are full of great humor to help lessen the anxiety that you might be feeling on any given day. Nothing’s better than walking into smiling faces and a wonderfully professional energized staff. I highly recommend Sweeney Chiropractic!
